Mixed Fruit Saasam

2 cups of chopped pineapple
2 cups of chopped apples (peel and chop the apples)
1 cup of seedless grapes halved (mixture of black and green)
salt to taste
1/2 cup of fresh grated coconut
3 roasted dry red chillies
1 tbsp mustard seeds
2 tbsp of sugar.

 

Blend the coconut, chillies and the mustard to a coarse paste. Remove in a bowl and add salt to it.
Chop all the fruits to  bite size pieces and mix all of them. Now add the sugar and mix well.
Now add the coconut paste. Mix well. Taste for the salt and sugar. You should be able to taste the sweetness and the saltiness at the same time.
Put it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hrs. Serve it chilled.
