7oz condensed milk
1/2 cup/80gms unsalted butter
250gms dates, pitted and finely chopped
1 cup less 1tbsp (85gms) all purpose flour
1/2tsp vanilla extract
1/2tsp soda bicarbonate
1tbsp baking powder

Preheat oven to 350deg F
Soak the chopped dates in 5tbsp of water with 1/2tsp of soda bicarbonate for 4-5 hours or overnight.
Sieve the all purpose flour with the baking powder in it.
To it add the dates and the walnuts.
In another bowl beat the condensed milk and the butter until mixed well.
Now add the dry mixture to it slowly. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes
